For a quick video tutorial on the basic phone functionalities, please visit here.
There are two methods for transferring a call:
Blind Transfer
A Blind Transfer occurs when a call is transferred to another extension or ring group (queue) without waiting for the recipient to answer. It is an immediate, unannounced transfer to the destination.
Attended Transfer (Warm Transfer)
An Attended Transfer involves notifying the recipient before completing the transfer or waiting for them to pick up the call. The transfer can be completed after a brief interaction or even without an announcement, depending on preference.
How to Perform a Blind Transfer:
- Begin an active call.
- Press the Transfer softkey at the bottom of the display.
- Enter the extension number or select the associated extension via the line key (if available).
How to Perform an Attended Transfer:
- Begin an active call.
- Press the Transfer softkey at the bottom of the display.
- Dial the internal extension or external 10-digit phone number.
- Select AttnTransfer.
- Confirm the transfer and press the Transfer softkey to complete.
To Cancel the Transfer:
If you decide not to proceed with the transfer, press the X on the keypad to cancel. Your initial call will resume.
