How to Transfer a Call

Blind and Attended Call Transfers

There's two ways of transferring a call when needed:

  1. Blind Transfer is when the call is transferred to another extension or ring group (queue) without waiting for the target agent to pick up first. It is an immediate, unannounced call transfer to the destination number.
  2. Attended Transfer (or warm transfer) is when the destination party is notified before completing the transfer of the call. Or waiting for the target extension to pick up before transferring (even if you do not announce the call).
 

Blind Transfer

  1. Begin an active phone call.
  2. Press the Transfer softkey on the bottom of the display.
  3. Either, type in the extension number, or select the line key for the associated extension (if a line key is available).
 

Attended Transfer

  1. Begin an active phone call.
  2. Press the Transfer softkey on the bottom of the display.
  3. Dial either an internal extension, or 10 digit external phone number
  4. Select 'AttnTransfer'.
  5. Confirm call should be transferred, and press the Transfer softkey to complete the transfer.
 

If the call should not be transferred, press the X on the keypad and Retrieve your initial call will resume.
