Loss of Internet or power
If you lose power or Internet, we have solutions that will keep your business going.
Choose an option that suits you the best:
1) Use the iOS/Android Softphone to make and receive calls.
The smartphone app can be setup and connected to any extension with the help of support. To make sure all calls coming to the faculty are received by this extension, route the main number to that extension. See the Number Configuration article for information on how route phone numbers.
2) Add a message for all callers informing them that your business has a temporary outage.
Create a greeting, route it to an accessible extension/voicemail, and route the main number for the greeting. See the Greeting Settings article for more information on setting up a greeting.
3) Route a phone number to forward all calls to an external number.
Create a forwarding number and route the main number to the forwarding number. See the Misc Settings article for information on how to forward a number.
